Gwyneth Paltrow Takes A Walk On ‘The Blind Side’ In Her New Music Video ‘Country Strong’

Does Gwyneth Paltrow‘s new music video for her upcoming movie Country Strong live up to the heights of her rendition of Smokey Robinson‘s Cruisin‘ with Huey Lewis for the 2001 comedy Duets? Not even close, but it does have a certain je ne sais quoi. Paltrow took time off from her travels and multimedia GOOP empire to film the movie in which she plays a country singer who makes a comeback after a bout with alcoholism. It looks like Crazy Heart meets The Blind Side meets a crazy actress. Playing a character with a laughable Southern accent worked for Sandra Bullock, so she just might have a chance with Oscar voters this year. She could probably use another statuette to add to her award for Shakespeare In Love to make matching bookends. Posted below is the video of “Cruisin” from Duets. It truly is Oscar worthy.
