Paula Abdul’s Not-So-Graceful Exit From ‘American Idol’
While it’s no surprise that Paula Abdul has been tweeting like a crazy woman in the past few days, the big shocker was that she chose that venue to announce her decision to leave Americal Idol on the popular social network. Here’s what the original post looked like:

Not sure what “#IDOL” means, but its not difficult to imagine the message being typed amidst bouts of sobbing and (alleged) pill-popping. On the bright side, she finally has time to film another season of her reality show and maybe even stop by AA and say hello.
According to Reuters, Abdul made the decision after balking at Idol producer’s offer of a measly 30% pay hike from her current $4 million dollar salary. Nigel Lythgoe, a former executive producer of Idol is quoted as saying, “She’ll be remembered for not making sense on a number of occasions. She’ll be remembered as part of a dysfunctional family that we’ve all come to love.” However, all is not lost. Lythgoe goes on to say that he and Adbul are currently in talks to have her play a role on the Fox reality show So You Think You Can Dance. AA might have to stay on the back burner for awhile. Let’s take a moment and remember why Paula was such a “unique” presence on Idol:
