Sandra Bullock Predicts That She Won’t Win For Best Actress: Could Be A Repeat Of Eddie Murphy in 2007 Thanks To Razzie Nomination For ‘All About Steve’

After winning coveted acting prizes at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild, it wouldn’t be much a stretch to predict that Sandra Bullock will win the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side. However, the actress herself isn’t planning on taking home a statuette. She told reporters gathered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival:

I’m so not winning an Oscar.

She says she trusts her own judgment, since she’s been right about her predictions in the past:

Nine times out of ten I always pick who’s going to win. And I already know who’s going to win. I’m not going to say, but nine times out of ten, I’m right.

After all, soon after the Oscar nominations were announced she was also nominated for the less coveted Razzie awards (which honor the worst in film) for her role in the critically savaged comedy All About Steve.

The same thing happened to Eddie Murphy in 2007 when he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Dreamgirls and the Razzie for Worst Actor for Norbit. The two canceled each other out and voters ended up giving the award to Alan Arkin for his role in Little Miss Sunshine. The same is likely to happen to Bullock. If it does, Bullock says that it’s fine with her. She said:

I have to say, all the ladies in our category, we don’t care who wins. Someone’s going to win and the rest of us will be really happy for whoever won. We’re just happy to be here. And we like the company we’re in.
